Even though it's fall—winter in my mind, really—I can't get enough of pastels. While pastels tend to be dedicated to the spring and summer months, I love popping out a pastel accent piece during the fall.

I got this pastel blue coat at the Primark store in London a couple of years ago. It was surprisingly only 10 pounds and is hands down one of my best purchases ever. Living in Florida, it's a little difficult to wear a coat comfortably since it hardly ever drops below 40 degrees, even during winter. Still, I break out my collection of coats and try to make use of them whenever I can.

Since this is such a statement coat, I decided to keep the color palette pretty simple underneath. I threw on a trusty pair of high-waisted denim from H&M, a cropped fuzzy sweater, and my go-to black booties. I wore my everyday jewelry—pearl earrings and a dainty necklace. This Monogram Gem Necklace from Anthropologie is the perfect little accessory and adds a bit of color to simple outfits like this.

While my exact coat is no longer available, there are plenty of similar options available like this one from H&M. You could also opt for other pastel colored coats such as this pale mauve pink coat from Guess.

Don't be afraid to rock pastels during the fall and winter. Even the gloomiest of snow days can be made bright and cheerful with help from your wardrobe. What do you think of styling a pastel coat in the fall and winter months? Let me know in the comments below!
